‘The Witcher’ exceeds 100,000 simultaneous users on Steam in the heat of the success of the Netflix series

The Witcher as a video game exists since 2007. And before there were the stories and novels written by Andrzej Sapkowski in the 80s in Poland. But nothing is the same since last December Netflix premiered the series of the same name, The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill.

We have already seen that up to one million players have returned to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt after the premiere of the television series. The impact is being seen in social networks and also in the data of the video game, which was released in 2015. Like the series, the title follows the adventures of the sorcerer Geralt de Rivia.

Polish is the author of the stories and Polish the studio that turned it into a video game. The CD Projekt RED can be happy. The debut of the stories of Sapkowski on Netflix has increased, it would be said that in geometric progression, the interest in The Witcher, the video game (the third in this case, because before The Witcher arrived in 2007, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, in 2011).

Steam is worth a thermometer. After the premiere of the television series, the number of The Witcher: Wild Hunt players on this streaming platform has overflowed. So much so that at the beginning of the new year it has already exceeded 100,000 simultaneous users.
