The Battle Royale Darwin Project has its days numbered
The rise of Battle Royale and the success of titles like PUBG and Fortnite gave way to a trend that would inevitably see different proposals that would seek to take advantage of the moment. However, it is also inevitable that things will fall under their own weight and today the developers of the Darwin Project reported that this Battle Royale has its days numbered.
Through a post on the official Scavengers Studio blog, founders Simon Darveau and Amélie Lamarche reported that their Battle Royale Darwin Project will immediately stop receiving support and the servers will remain open until the end of this year. According to the creatives, the game’s user base has fallen significantly, so the number of players does not justify the permanence of the game.
The creatives also thanked the fans for their support over the years: “We truly and deeply appreciate all that the community has put into the Darwin Project. We received tons of passionate ideas and suggestions for improving the game, which shows how incredibly understanding they are. They have been throughout this journey. We cannot thank them enough for their love and support for the last 4 years. “
Finally, it was reported that the developers in charge of the Darwin Project will move on to other undisclosed projects that the Canadian studio is working on.
