Ubisoft has seen the source code of Watch Dogs: Legion leaked, it weighs 560 GB
Bad news for Ubisoft, and that is that the company has seen how the complete source code of Watch Dogs: Legion has been leaked on the Internet. The source code for this Triple A title is priced at about 560GB of space on your storage drive, and can be found on various private BitTorrent trackers. This leak was made possible by a group of hackers behind the “Egregor” ramsonware.
For the common user, this will mean that the community will benefit from the Mods, which would be the first to come. Even the most expert could do what Ubisoft does so badly, which is to be able to make specific optimization adjustments that are in the game.
As a detriment to Ubisoft, cracking groups may find a gap in the game to tear down the anti-piracy measures built into the game, filter any future content blocked in the game, and of course, who knows if this game comes out in China under another name and a couple of changes, since many experts in the field would have a base game already created with which to work on, saving them most of the work.
