The Game Awards 2019: these are the GOTY nominees and other categories

This morning the organizers of The Game Awards announced the list of nominees for the 2019 edition of the awards ceremony that the video game industry celebrates. So, we already know which games are nominated for such important categories as Game of the Year (also known as GOTY) or Best game as a service.

On the list, the games with the most nominations are Death Stranding and Control, which have 9 and 8 nominations, respectively. Also, titles like The Outer Worlds, Resident Evil 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate appear in more than one category. This is why it is not surprising that they are the games that are nominated in the Game of the Year category.
