Netflix confirms release date of The Umbrella Academy 2

Netflix has finally revealed the release date for the second season of The Umbrella Academy, the sci-fi series based on the comic book created and written by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and illustrated by Gabriel Bá.

In the announcement (which was shared a few moments ago on Twitter), the main cast of the series appears dancing from home (very ad hoc for current times) and at the end the long-awaited date is revealed, July 31, 2020.

The Umbrella Academy, today one of the platform’s most successful Netflix original series, stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton and Mary J. Blige. Its original premiere occurred in February 2019 and this year its second season suffered a slight delay due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
