Meet Crucible, the Amazon shooter inspired by LoL and Dota 2
In addition to working on a streaming service, Amazon also has several games in development. One of them is New World, a fairly ambitious MMO. On the other hand, today we learned details of another of his projects with which the company seeks to explore another fairly popular genre.
We refer to Crucible, a shooter with science fiction elements. According to details, the title has been in development for quite some time now, so its release is planned for sometime this year.
We know that Crucible has suffered from several delays related to the coronavirus. Fortunately, it has a launch window for May. It is one of the first original Amazon games developed with a big budget.
The project is created by Relentless Studios, a company that has worked on it since 2014. Its development was restarted several times until finding a balanced concept for the project.
This led to a team combat game that takes elements from League of Legends and Dota 2. So, it is a shooter where strategy will be of great importance.
Crucible will be essentially a competitive online game that seeks to be one of the phenomena of Twitch, a platform owned by Amazon. The game’s reveal was originally planned for early March and will launch on March 31.
However, due to the pandemic, it was decided to delay it and its debut is now expected in May. For now there is no trailer for the game, but the company shared the screenshot that you can see below.
