Former basketball player Kobe Bryant died at 41 years of age after a helicopter crash
According to various media, such as TMZ and New York Post, the former basketball player was traveling, along with other people, in an aircraft that rushed when flying over the town of Calabasas, in the state of California.
TMZ notes that eyewitnesses said the helicopter’s engine made a strange sound before it rushed.
In addition to the former Los Angeles Lakers player, at least four others died after the accident. It is reported that among the passengers was not his wife, Vanessa Bryant.
It was detailed that the former player was traveling in his private helicopter, a Sikorsky S-76, when he rushed to the ground and was engulfed in flames.
Emergency personnel went to the scene of the incident and confirmed that there were no survivors.
In images released, the area where the helicopter collapsed is observed.
Kobe Bryant is the fourth leading scorer in NBA history, second only to LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.
Bryant is the player who was chosen most times in the best quintet of the season, with eleven selections.
