Japan users already have access to Internet connections at 10 Gbps for 50 euros per month
While in Spain it is a luxury to have access to a fiber optic connection, which is already practically standardized in the 600 Mbps ceiling, in Japan we have years of advantage (and worldwide), and that is from this week Users there can access a new service that offers a connection speed of up to 10 Gbps / 10,000 Mbps at a reasonable exchange price slightly higher than 50 euros.
The one in charge of making this a reality is the local operator NTT, and offers such speed in 10 cities: Adachi, Suginami, Edogawa, Nerima, Setagaya, Katsushika, Ota, and Itabashi through NTT East, and Osaka and Nagoya with NTT West .
To access this speed, a special router is required to be compatible with the FLET’s Hikari fiber network, and costs about 4 euros per month, but it is already within the final price of 50 euros per month. This router will give access to the 10 Gbps connection and offer 802.11ax WiFi wireless connectivity.
Obviously, this Internet connection is more destined to be shared, and that is that 10 Gbps means downloading at speeds of 1 GB per second, having almost anything instantaneously, which adds that it is required to have an M SSD .2 NVMe that exceeds this speed in read / write, so even a SATA III SSD would generate a bottleneck, since many of them do not usually exceed 550 MB / s read / write.
