Grinding Gear Games announces Path of Exile 2, the continuation in great form of its fabulous action RPG

Grinding Gear Games has made this weekend the ExileCon, an event that has dedicated to Path of Exile and several important announcements related to its action RPG. The most prominent of these is that the development of Path of Exile 2 has been announced, although it will not be exactly a sequel.

In reality it will more closely resemble a kind of gigantic expansion. The game will leave us with a completely new story formed by a total of seven acts that take place 20 years after the events of the original title, but will also allow us to play all the updates and expansions that Path of Exile has received.

It will also take the opportunity to revise and rebalance the mechanics of the different existing classes, an improvement in the graphics and also in the physical ones, so that we will now see how the arrows bounce on the floor or get stuck in the walls depending on the material of which they are made.

To all this will also be added 19 classes of ancestry, all of them with their respective skill trees. Likewise, the gem system will be improved, new weapons, pieces of equipment and many other surprises that will be revealed over time will be incorporated. All this you can see better below in his first official trailer.

It is likely that Path of Exile 2 does not end up seeing the light until 2021 as soon as possible. The reason is because those responsible have ensured that they do not believe that the beta will be ready before the end of 2020 in its PC version, the only one that has been confirmed so far.
