Filtered! This could be the GeForce RTX 3080 "Ampere": 4352 CUDA cores 10GB of RAM and 15 TFLOPs
The first images of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 “Ampere” video card that would be up to 25% more powerful than the Xbox X Series are leaked
This weekend was quite busy for those of us who live in Mexico City. But also when it comes to leaking information related to the next generation of GeForce RTX 30 video cards.
Specifically, through the VideoCardz site, a major leak from the Chiphell site was revealed that revealed for the first time the possible design that the GeForce RTX 3080 video card would have. Or at least what would be expected from the Founder’s Edition (or reference) design. .
Futuristic design inspired by Cyberpunk 2077
Based on the published images, everything seems to indicate that the next generation of RTX 3080 video cards will undergo a radical design change that could be even much more aggressive than what we saw in the current generation of GeForce RTX 20 Series cards.
The first thing that catches the attention of the new GeForce RTX 3080 is that it has a futuristic appearance and that it does not resemble anything that we have seen previously. Some suggest that this design could have been influenced by Cyberpunk 2077, which is one of the biggest video game releases of 2020 and is receiving quite a bit of support from NVIDIA.
In view of the importance of the leak, a Reddit user named JDSP_ did not take long to make several very accurate 3D renders of the leaked images of the GeForce RTX 3080, which allow for better visibility than we might expect when the card is released at the end 2020.
Specifications: 4352 CUDA cores, 10GB and 15 TFLOPs
At the beginning of this 2020 information was leaked on the specifications of what would be the flagship models of the GeForce RTX 30 cards. But at the same time that the first images of the GeForce RTX 3080 were released, the user Kopite7kimi also revealed new information that is giving enough to talk about.
In this case it was revealed that the GeForce RTX 3080 will be equipped with the GA102-200 “Ampere” GPU that will have 4352 CUDA Cores, which is much higher than previously reported, and that the GPU will work at a frequency of between the 1.75GHz that could be translated into a computing power of 15 TFLOPS. This would mean that the GeForce RTX 3080 would be around 25% more powerful than the RDNA GPU that the Xbox X Series will use and twice as powerful as the current GeForce RTX 2080.
