Darkest Dungeon will receive arena mode and you can fight against other players

Through Twitter, developer Red Hook Studios revealed on April 1 that a DLC would bring Darkest Dungeon hero-versus-hero battles, in an arena style. This naturally caused many users to think that it was a joke, but it is not the case, as the battles between players will come true soon.

The developer later confirmed that this addition would make the title thanks to The Butcher’s Circus DLC in May. The great news is that it will finally be possible to participate in arena fights against other players.

According to the official information on the Steam page, the base title will be required to play the DLC, which will include a new location in the town: the Butcher’s Circus. Something interesting that you should take into account is that in these battles you will not put at risk your saved data of the heroes of the campaign, but they are separate battles.

The DLC will allow you to make a team of 4 adventurers and try to climb the leaderboard. Plus, you’ll be able to unlock banner designs and craft your heraldry.
